What interests me about Dentistry: It’s a profession that combines the different aspects of Art, Science, Psychology, Business, and Engineering to make life-long impacts in the lives of so many individuals. Additionally, I’m fascinated by the fact that this profession will enable me to use my hands, along with amazing technology to not only improve the overall health of my future patients, but also build long-lasting relationships with them.
Words of Advice: “Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t do something. You got a dream, you gotta protect it.  When people can’t do something themselves, they are going to tell you that you can’t do it. You want something, go get it. Period. – Chris Gardner

What interests me about Dentistry: There are so many aspects in dentistry and even though it’s continuously evolving, there’s always the mutual goal to help others and make a difference. Dentists have the capability of not only improving the health or appearance of their patients, but also the lifestyles and overall confidence of those patients. It really is a work of art that allows you to create something so unique for others who are just as unique.
Words of Advice: Never give up and strive to be the best you can be! Although there may be times where things don’t go as expected, learn from those experiences and continue to grow. It can be a rough journey, but if you put all your effort and passion in everything you do, you’ll come out successful in the end.

What interests me about Dentistry: Dentistry is a field where various procedures are performed and no day is the exact same. Dentistry interests me because we are given the opportunity to improve patients health/oral hygiene but also build a patient’s confidence when they smile, being able to make a difference in their lives.
Words of Advice: Stay Motivated, Stay Involved and Always Network. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, we have all be in the same position at some point and are all working to the same goals. Never give up on your dreams. “It always seems impossible until it’s done” – Nelson Mandela.

Minor: Business

What interests me about Dentistry: Dentistry perfectly combines my two passions: science and art. It is one of the very few professions that allows one to figuratively and literally put a smile on someone else’s face. More than that though, dentistry is a vehicle for pursuing my love of service. Dentistry can take me to all corners of the world–easing people’s pain and making their smile shine just a little bit brighter.
Words of Advice: “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” -Confucius. Follow your passion, and never let anything or anyone deter you from achieving your goals.

Major: Health Sciences Pre-Clinical
Minor: Health Services Administration
Year: Senior
Interests: CrossFit, Cooking, Racquetball, Running and Volunteering
What interests me about Dentistry: Dentistry has always fascinated me as both an art and a field of medicine. The field continues to evolve with the introduction of new technologies that have a positive impact on people’s lives. Dentistry necessitates a more intimate form of care and it is fulfilling to realize that you are not only creating the patient’s smile, but can radically transform the patient themselves.
Words of Advice: Stay positive, work hard, and keep your motivation! Take advantage of every opportunity this organization has to offer because these experiences will not only help you learn and grow as individuals, but as future professionals. While there may be hurdles in this journey, know you will always have the support and guidance from your pre-dental peers.

What interests me about Dentistry: Dentistry is a medical profession in which you can grow with your patient and improve their quality of life! How awesome is that? I love the attention to detail that dentistry entails and I can’t wait to change the world, one smile at a time.
Words of Advice: Colossians 3:12 “Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Give your whole heart to the cause and let your passion carry you to the end goal! Together we can achieve and learn so much so take advantage of every opportunity and reach out to others in the club.
